Leeds Cares Charity Ball
We are putting the finishing touches to the design of the Leeds Cares (Leeds Cancer Centre) Charity September Ball souvenir brochure.
Now in its 22nd year, the Leeds Cancer Centre Charity Ball raises substantial funds for the Leeds Cancer Centre to ensure that patients continue to receive the best possible care that the Centre can provide.
Leeds Cancer Centre provides a large range of cancer services for over 2,000 patients per day, supporting a catchment area of 2.6million across Yorkshire and beyond. The money raised by the charity is used to buy specialist medical equipment, patient & staff amenities and fund essential research and development.
This year’s event aims to continue to raise funds to support our £2.4 million MR Sim appeal. This state-of-the-art piece of equipment dramatically enhances scan imaging quality ahead of radiotherapy treatment, enabling clinicians to identify and define the areas for treatment with greater clarity, transforming the way that care is delivered to 7,000 patients per year who undergo radiotherapy treatment at the centre.
In December 2017, they reached a £1 million milestone in the MR Sim appeal and are hoping that the September Ball in 2018 will bring them significantly closer to their target and to installing this essential piece of equipment.
The ball will be held on 22nd September. To book tickets for the event please email firstname.lastname@example.org
